What We Believe

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that in the beginning the Triune God (One God who reveals Himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) created mankind good and in the image of God.  Mankind had an unbroken relationship with God.  Shortly after, man chose to rebel against God.  This rebellion has marked all mankind as guilty of wrong.  This act broke man’s relationship with God.  As a result, mankind has fallen short of God’s perfect standard and is deserving of eternal separation from God.  Man is therefore left in a desperate situation.  But God in His kindness and compassion made a way to justify the guilty through the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, God the Son, on the cross.  When Jesus died, He paid the penalty for sin.  When He rose from the grave three days later, He defeated the curse of eternal death.   This substitutionary payment for the man’s sin is a gracious gift of God and is a display of His great generosity. This grace is a gift that can’t be bought or earned but is received through faith in God as both our Savior and our Lord.  It is by God’s grace, received through faith, that man can be seen as no longer guilty and receive an eternal inheritance.  It is only through God’s grace that man’s relationship with God can be restored.
In short we believe that God’s provision of salvation is by…
Grace Alone,
Through Faith Alone,
Found in Christ Alone.
Therefore, We Live For God’s Glory Alone.
And Scripture alone is the final authority for what we believe.
