WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?
Our hope is to become a church where invitation is the norm. We hope to become a church that boldly boasts about Jesus, knowing that this isn’t a burdensome task to earn God’s love but is for the fullness of our joy.

We are praying for opportunities to sow seeds of Jesus.  How have you been able to sow seed?
(Personal Stories Below)
"I nanny for a wonderful but unbelieving family in Boulder; they are like family to me and I love them all dearly, and they know that I am a Christian. The mom made a comment to me about the brokenness of the world and how small her complaints seem compared to the war and persecution and starvation that are happening in other places. I was able to shared with her about our God who has no limits, who loves us all equally, and who can address the prayers of starving people in wartime and at the same time He can help her potty-train her toddler. I reminded her that God is not like us humans, and that He does tire or get moody – He can answer all of us at once and He addresses everyone's prayers no matter how small."

"I went to the store on the afternoon of Resurrection Sunday and met a man in the aisle who saw my joyful mood and struck up a conversation with me by asking, 'What's got you so happy today?' I answered, 'Because our Lord is risen!' We then continued talking and he shared with me that his heart was heavy because that morning he had to put down his cat who he had for 20 years. I asked if I could pray for him and then I did so out loud in the store. When I was done he gave me a great hug and thanked me because it really helped him feel relief that day."

“I was able to give clarity to an acquaintance about the gospel and specifically how Christ was not created but has been there from the beginning. Making him the first “Prophet” to have a religion originate from. As many believe there were so many other “gods/religion/prophets” that came before him; what makes him special?
I will have future contact with this person so pray for the HS to get through as he’s into new age and mystical ideas.”

"I was outside in my front yard working on the house when my neighbor came over. She is feeling completely hopeless for our country in every aspect because of those in office. Although, she just wanted to rant and rally me to protest, I was able to share with her about our hope not in the governments of this world and how we were made in the image of God, created to bring God's order and life to earth. She didn't care to listen. She was so set on her perspective. I'm praying for her to have an open heart and for future conversations."

"During a very low point in my life, I was amazed that God was still able to use me to help someone find their way to Jesus. Just another testament to how God can use you in the moment if you let him, even when you don’t know what you’re doing."

"I volunteer with a wonderful organization called Life Choices that provides support and care for expecting women. In the course of volunteering, I have been blessed to be able to invite women to come to church and experience the love of our missional communities."

"We had a large, family gathering for Resurrection Sunday and some unbelieving friends of our niece joined us. After the meal, we started sharing testimonies. I believe 7 people shared how they came to the Lord over the course of about an hour. These folks sat and listened and seemed engaged. Praying that these seeds will take root and grow for them."

"We accidentally put the wrong number on our Dig group text list. After several days and a couple dozen texts, we realized our mistake and apologized to the wrong number. John (the wrong number) wanted to be included. He came to our MC one day, and I'm still texting him from time to time to get him involved in a church in his area."

"Some of our neighbors reached out to us about the recent bill trying to be passed by our state government. They are nervous about the impacts it could have on them as parents. We are going to meet up this week. I'm excited for the opportunity to share Christ as the One who is our peace."

"I’ve often said that people who have dogs and children have an instant approachability. Today I was reminded that just quietly enjoying nature makes you approachable too. We were sitting by a pond reading quietly when a woman came up next to us and said hi. Within a few minutes she was sharing about some difficult life transitions, and we were able to listen and encourage her. When she was leaving I reached out my hand, we exchanged names and I held her hand for a moment and said “I’ll be praying for you.” And later that afternoon I prayed for her."

"I was praying for opportunities to share God’s goodness with someone after our evangelism kick off. I happened to have a difficult situation come up the day after that sermon. After much prayer, I gave it to the Lord and found peace. The next day some young gentlemen came to the door to sell something. I normally wouldn’t have even answered, but I did that day and I gave them a very short summary of what had occurred as reason for not being able to spend money on what they were selling. They expressed that they were both facing some similar challenges. I felt the tug of the Holy Spirit and told them that the Lord always provides. They were astonished and said they had just prayed together before starting their day. I shared with them some pretty spectacular ways in which  God has provided my family and how peace has come when I’ve relinquished control of situations and recognized all provision comes from Him. We all agreed to pray for one another and they told me I had encouraged them and that they felt God had sent them to my house that day."

"On my son's baseball team we have been encouraging the kids and telling them that their faith in God is the most important thing about them. The kids have become emboldened to talk about church and are asking the coaches to pray for the team. For those that are followers of Jesus, it is becoming more normal to talk about their faith."
